Our History

In 1986, Van Cumbie founded Airport Mortuary and The Crematorium with the vision of assisting families in their greatest time of need. For over 35 years, Van and his staff have helped thousands of families get their loved ones back home. He focused his business on making time-sensitive decisions and making funeral arrangements to ship loved ones across the country or around the world. Airport Mortuary Shipping completes all the necessary paperwork with the consulate, flight scheduling, caskets, shipping containers, communication with the receiving funeral home, and death certificates.
After Van's passing in February 2014, his brother John Cumbie was able to step into the leadership role and continue Van's legacy. John and the professional staff at Airport Mortuary Shipping Service & the Crematorium understand the difficult struggles families endure during the passing of a loved one. They strive to make the process as smooth as possible while maintaining your loved one's dignity. The staff continues the tradition of caring for the families with honesty and integrity. We encourage you to contact us to discuss your family's unique needs. Each of us is confident that we can, and will, do our utmost to meet and exceed your expectations.
At Airport Mortuary Shipping Service, we offer international shipping for your loved ones.
